Served in Iraq with the 18th Military Police Brigade. Earned the Combat Patch from Col. Brown, the 18th MP Commander at Camp Bucca, and also was awarded the C.A.B. from the 18th MP Brigade Command General for combat action in Iraq. Coined by Maj. General Brandenberg, the 18th MP Brigade Command General for Iraq Theater Ops. Served on a mobile RECON Unit as an M 249 SAW Turret Gunner for an up-armored humvee patrolling for insurgent activity and securing possible I.E.D./V.B.I.E.D. and insurgent ambush choke points. Assigned to Alpha Co. 1st Platoon 3rd Squad at F.O.B. Camp Bucca, Um Qasr Iraq. Performed Tower Scout duties for Force Protection as a M240 Bravo Heavy Machine Gunner. Defended the Camp in Defensive Fighting Positions/LP-OP's. Assigned also to Delta Company for TIF Ops. Camp Bucca received indirect enemy fire from 81mm Mortars and direct sniper fire from Mijhati Militia. During our extraction out of Iraq, we received a ground threat, which resulted in the Tail Gunner returning fire to neutralize the threat. Defending our chopper convoy were Apache Attack Helicopters. I lost a friend and fellow Security Forces Member Sister-In-Arms to an IED attack that took the life of Sergeant Morin, a "T" Patcher- a.k.a. Texas Infantry. To my fallen SF Sister, "SEMPER DEFENSOR FORTIS!"

Conducted M.E.G.P. Raven Missions as F.A.S.T. protecting C 130 Hercules in "HOT" LZ's in Iraq and Afghanistan. Secured U.S. Navy SEAL Team 2 Counter-Terrorism CRT's in Afghanistan, D-Boys (U.S. Army Delta Force), S.A.S. (British Special Air Service) in Iraq, and Afghani ISAF.
